Each user of a channel can be assigned one of the following three channel roles with the corresponding permissions:

Channel User:
Can play, comment, and interact with media that has already been added. No other tabs are selectable.

Channel Editor:
The "Manage media" tabs becomes selectable. This makes it possible to add and edit media.

Channel Moderator:
The "Manage media" and "Manage users" tabs become selectable. This makes it possible to add and edit media and users.

Channel Administrator:
Access to the "Settings" tab is added to all previous rights. The channel itself can now be edited.

Note:
Permissions of global VIMP roles can extend channel roles. For example, a user of the VIMP role "Administrator" can change channel settings even if he has only the role "Channel user" in the channel.
