IP anonymization

The GDPR requires all IP addresses to be stored anonymously.

As of version 4.0.2, VIMP anonymizes all IP addresses in the database automatically by deleting the last octet.


The function can be deactivated under Configuration -> Basis if the GDPR is not applicable in your country.

Existing ip addresses can be anonymized by executing the following task once:

./vimp framework:anonymize-ip

Important note:

In VIMP versions lower than 6.x, please use the command ./symfony instead of ./vimp in the code above.
