As of VIMP 6.0, the Atlantic template is no longer supplied and therefore no longer maintained.

Read the following FAQs to find out what this means for you if you use the Atlantic template:

  • Why is the Atlantic template no longer supported?

The Atlantic template was designed as an alternative to the Pacific template to enable the use of a video portal with horizontal navigation and without a sidebar.
In the meantime, however, all the advantages of the Atlantic template have been incorporated into the Ocean template, which also offers further advantages such as full responsiveness and accessibility. Everything that the Atlantic template can do, the Ocean template can also do - and even better. We have therefore decided not to invest any further development capacity in the (redundant) Atlantic template, but instead to channel these resources specifically into the development of new functions.

  • Can I still use the Atlantic template?
We will not remove the Atlantic template from your VIMP installation with the update to VIMP 6.0 or later versions if it exists there. However, we will no longer provide new functions or improvements for the Atlantic template. That means from a certain point in time, new functions of new VIMP versions will be missing in the Atlantic template or errors may generally occur.

  • How do I switch the template to the Ocean template?
Please change the selection for the "Template" from Atlantic to Ocean in the Template Manager.

  • I have made custom adjustments to the Atlantic template. How do I transfer these to the Ocean template?
If you have made custom adjustments to your Atlantic template or created your own skin for it, these modifications must be transferred once to the Ocean template. Please proceed in the same way as you made the changes to the Atlantic template. If you have made modifications that have not been incorporated into a new skin but affect the template directly, we recommend that you always work with a template copy.
